Spellcasters Chronicles has entered Early Access, marking a significant shift for Quantic Dream as it invites players into its development process.
The free-to-play, 3v3 team-based strategy game blends aerial combat with strategic deckbuilding. Players can now summon creatures and Titans to dominate the battlefield, while the studio focuses on refining gameplay depth, balance, and progression systems based on community feedback.
Unlike previous beta phases centered on technical stability, Early Access prioritizes player-driven design evolution. New features include a refined tutorial, voice chat, Discord SDK integration, spell unlock mechanics, and an in-game shop for customization.
The roadmap outlines upcoming expansions such as the Kamazad Arena and the Technomancer Spellcaster, with priorities adapting to player input. A Community Vote Workshop will allow players to influence game development through regular polls, earning rewards along the way.
Performance optimizations continue alongside new content, including Ice Ray, Poison Breath, Metamorphosis, and Holy Arrow spells, plus two new summons: the Siren and Rhino Rider. The Rocket Soldier Factory also joins the battlefield.
Minimum system requirements for Early Access are an Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (or equivalent with at least 6 cores/12 threads), a GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5600 (with 6 GB VRAM), 16 GB RAM, and an SSD NVMe drive on Windows 11. Recommended specs include an Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (or equivalent with at least 8 cores/16 threads), a GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 9060 XT (with 8 GB VRAM).
