Viper Xtreme 5: New Speed Records
The core of Patriot's display was the Viper Xtreme 5 series, available in both RGB and non-RGB variants. These kits focused on maximizing performance with Client Clock Drivers (CKD) technology. The DDR5-9600, DDR5-9200, and DDR5-8600 speeds were highlighted, combined with a standard 48 GB capacity utilizing CL40, CL44, and CL46 timings respectively. This series represents the upper echelon of Viper performance.
Viper Xtreme 5 Aurum: Premium Heat Management
Alongside the standard Viper Xtreme 5, Patriot introduced the ‘Aurum’ line – a premium offering distinguished by heatspreaders designed to resemble gold. This variant delivers speeds of DDR5-8000, DDR5-6400, and DDR5-6000, with capacities of 64 GB (2x 32 GB) or 32 GB (2x 16 GB). Notably, the Aurum series does not incorporate CKD technology.
Viper Steel 5: High-Frequency Non-CKD Kits
The Viper Steel 5 series presented a more accessible approach to high-frequency DDR5 memory. These kits prioritize speed without the added complexity of CKD, offering configurations like DDR5-8600, DDR5-8000, DDR5-7200, DDR5-6400, and DDR5-6000. Density options range from 128 GB (2x 64 GB) down to 32 GB (2x 16 GB), catering to a broader range of system builds.
Signature Line: Mainstream Speed Options
Patriot’s Signature Line received updates with DDR5-5600 and DDR5-5200 speed variants. These modules were available in capacities spanning 64 GB (1x 64 GB), 32 GB (1x 32 GB), 24 GB (1x 24 GB) and a particularly interesting new 12 GB module packaged as a dual-channel kit, providing 24 GB of capacity.
Signature Line Core: SODIMM Focus
The Signature Line Core series specifically targeted the Single Ounce DIMM (SODIMMs) market. These modules were available in DDR5-5600 speeds and capacities ranging from 48 GB down to 8 GB per module, offering flexibility for laptops and smaller form factor builds.
