Electronic Arts is giving players more time to engage with Battlefield 6's REDSEC mode, announcing an extension for Season 1 that will now run through February 17. Alongside this, a new Frostfire Bonus Path has been introduced, offering fresh rewards alongside the existing Season 1 Battle Pass.
The delay in Season 2's launch is intended to provide additional development time based on player feedback, ensuring a more polished experience when it arrives. The Frostfire Bonus Path, available from January 27, allows players to unlock new customization options, weapon packages, and XP boosts by progressing through its tiers. Unlike previous bonus paths, this one relies solely on weekly challenges, with no additional bonus challenges required.
Premium rewards for the Frostfire Bonus Path include a Weapon Package and Soldier Skin, while free rewards consist of hardware XP boosts, vehicle skins, and player card customization items. Players can work on both the Season 1 Battle Pass and the Frostfire Bonus Path simultaneously without needing to choose between them.
Each tier in the Frostfire Bonus Path requires 10 points to unlock, with a total of 110 points needed to complete it. The extension also introduces Valentine's Day-themed daily login rewards and multiple Double XP Weekends throughout the update period. Standard game updates and fixes will continue to roll out as part of this extended season.
The launch of Season 2 is now set for February 17, providing a longer runway for development while keeping players engaged with additional content and challenges.
