Warframe is now playable on Android devices, though its arrival is being rolled out in stages. The free-to-play action RPG, developed by Digital Extremes, launched in Canada today, marking the first time it will be available on mobile platforms. The global release for Android users is scheduled for February 18, 2026.

This phased rollout allows Digital Extremes to prioritize Canadian players, offering them early access before the game becomes available worldwide on the Google Play Store. The move underscores the game’s continued expansion across multiple platforms, including iOS, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

One of the most significant updates for Android players is full crossplay support. Players will be able to seamlessly transition between Android, iOS, and all major consoles without losing progress, thanks to cross-platform save functionality. This means a session started on a PlayStation 5 can be picked up on an Android device without interruption.

However, not all Android devices will support the game. To run Warframe, users will need a device running a 64-bit version of Android 12.0 or higher, equipped with an ARM64 processor and at least 4GB of RAM. These requirements align with the technical demands of modern mobile gaming, ensuring smoother performance on capable hardware.

Android players who sign in before March 4, 2026, will receive a special reward: the Cumulus Collection. This exclusive package includes a unique weapon, armor cosmetics, and resource boosters designed to give new mobile players a competitive edge.

The game’s latest major expansion, The Old Peace, was released in December 2025, introducing a new narrative chapter to its ongoing storyline. With this expansion, Warframe continues to evolve, reinforcing its position as one of the most ambitious live-service titles in gaming.

For players outside Canada, the wait is brief—just over a week—before the game becomes available globally. Meanwhile, those in Canada can dive into the action now, benefiting from early access and the Android-exclusive rewards.
