NVIDIA has announced a series of updates to its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, focusing on improving user experience, VR performance, and game library. The changes aim to make the platform more accessible and responsive for gamers.

The most notable update is the increase in streaming frame rates for VR users. Starting March 19, Ultimate subscribers using headsets like the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest will see their streaming rates jump from 60 FPS to 90 FPS. This change promises smoother and more responsive VR sessions.

GeForce NOW is also expanding its account linking capabilities. Users can now connect their Xbox or Ubisoft+ accounts, which will display labels directly on game art within the app. This feature allows users to see which titles are available through their active subscriptions without leaving the platform.

In addition, NVIDIA plans to add GOG account linking and library syncing in the coming months. This follows the recent integration of Gaijin's single sign-on system, announced at CES earlier this year.

GeForce NOW Boosts VR and Game Library with New Features

The GeForce NOW library is set to grow with new high-profile releases scheduled for launch. Titles like 'Control Resonant' from Remedy and 'Samson: A Tyndalston Story' by Liquid Swords will be available via the cloud at their PC launches, adding depth to the platform's offerings.

The Install-to-play feature is also expanding, with select Xbox games such as 'Brutal Legend' by Double Fine Productions and 'Contrast' by Compulsion Games becoming available for download and installation. This gives users more flexibility in managing their game libraries.

These updates reflect NVIDIA's commitment to enhancing the GeForce NOW platform, making it a more dynamic and user-friendly experience for cloud gamers. The changes will be rolled out gradually, with further details shared during regular GFN Thursday announcements.
